“Love hopes all things…” God hopes all things.
He is confident of His own imminent success. He is confident in His own ability to succeed in us. He is confident in His own ability to succeed in all of creation. This causes God to rest. This causes us to rest. He is successful. Hope does not disappoint because God has put a measure of His eternal promise in our spirit. He is letting us know beforehand that He is successful.
He is able to produce eternal life in any individual and in the whole universe. We do not have to strain or labor to make it happen. We simply invite our own souls and the souls of others to have that same hope and rest from striving. Nothing in Christ ever fails… we simply give up. Let go. Release the exclusive right to govern our own souls. We have every reason to hope because God is both able and faithful to complete His work in and around us as we become available facilitators of His words and works. We faithfully abide, rested and fully available. Our faithful living depends upon our continual hope that He will succeed where we, in our own efforts, could not.
