Holiness

…it is not an unreachable standard of conduct demanded by a perfectionist deity.  Holiness is the way things used to be.  Once upon a time Life was eternal and integral.  It was pure and undefiled.  It was pleasurable and peaceful.  Life healed immediately and reconciled constantly.  It communed regularly with God and fellowship joyfully with humanity.  It is a once upon a time reality that we have never known.  Life as God designed it!
Holiness is a return to reality.  It has not been demanded of you, it has been given to you in the form of liquid gold - His precious Holy Spirit.  God wants you to experience this purity and peace so badly that He has invested His Holy Life in anyone who will receive.  At the risk of personal grief, He has placed Himself within you to restore you to reality… .to make you eternal and integral again.
Do not run from holiness.  “…And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption,” Ephesians 4:30.  Do not perceive it as a perfectionist command.  Do not think it is a matter of attainment; it was gifted to you, now receive it.  “…He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life,” Titus 3:5-7.  Holiness, this Holy Spirit, will consume your corrosion when you free fall into its grace.  Let God have His Holy way in you.  “…and be holy, for I am holy…” Leviticus 11:44.  Be holy because He is holy and longs, deeply, deeply longs for peaceful, undefiled communion with you.  You have been invited into real life with God and man… .receive it, honor it, enjoy it…
“Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood ad clay, some for honorable use, some for dishonorable use.  Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work,” 2 Timothy 2:20-21.  Let Him restore your original value… .let Him find your good treasure again…
