I knew that I could not move the Mountain
Therefore I ran towards it with all of my might
I knew that I could not pass through the Valley
Therefore I entered it with full peace of mind
I knew that I could not reach the Heavens
Therefore I lifted my arms to draw near
I knew that I could not love the Earth well
Therefore I embraced it as a loved one so dear
I knew that I could not be a Mother
Therefore I allowed children to populate my space
I knew that I could not be a Dreamer
Therefore I dreamt dreams when dreaming was unsafe
I knew that I could not be a good Friend
Therefore I gathered them around me in droves
I knew that I could not be a Lover
Therefore I loved deep and committed to growth
I knew that I could not fight the Battle
Therefore I fought a good fight for this ground
I knew that I could not be a Winner
Therefore I adorned myself with His Winner’s Crown
I knew that I could not be Patient
Therefore I patiently waited for grace
I knew that I could not walk in the Spirit
Therefore I spiritually walked out my faith
I knew that I could not attain Eternity
Therefore I lived like Eternity was now here
I knew that I could not purchase Holiness
Therefore Holiness became the only clothes I would wear
I knew that I could not receive Salvation
Therefore I opened my hands for a gift
I knew that I could not love a Savior
Therefore I lived on the love that was His
The whole story is true because He said so. I live because He said so. My heart is new because He said so. I am because He said so. It’s not based on what I can or cannot do. I just live what He says. This is faith: to live like He said so.
